Stream Cleanup
Thank you so much for all the volunteers who showed up at the first HCBOR Community Service event of 2013! What a great turn out for the Adopt-A-Stream cleanup at Lake Junaluska. Haywood Waterways Association really appreciated us getting the lake clean for their Polar Plunge Event on the 23rd. WAY TO GO VOLUNTEERS! YOU ROCK!
I hope this enthusiastic group motivates you to participate in one of the upcoming Community Service events in 2013! Don’t worry, your chance is coming soon…March’s Luncheon in fact! Representatives from Haywood Spay Neuter will be there for our first drive of the year. Bring your cash or check to make your tax-deductible contribution to this worthy cause.
Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our civilization. REALTORS should recognize that the interests of the nation and its citizens require the highest and best use of the land and the widest distribution of land ownership. They require the creation of adequate housing, the building of functioning cities, the development of productive industries and farms, and the preservation of a healthful environment.
In the interpretation of this obligation, REALTORS can take no safer guide than that which has been handed down through the centuries, embodied in the Golden Rule, Whatsoever ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them."
(Preamble - REALTOR Code of Ethics)
Our members take the "Golden Rule" one step further. We believe in the "Platinum Rule". Not only should you treat others as you would like to be treated, but treat others as they would like to be treated!
