Many thanks go out to Tavia Thomas, Keller Williams Realty, for championing the Salvation Army Bell Ringing for us again this year. It was held November 25th at Belk. And thanks to the many volunteers who braved the cold temperatures to participate in this annual event.
The weather outside is frightful, but don’t worry we have used the funds raised at the annual Realtor Bash this year to purchase three infrared heaters to donate to the Mountain Projects Share the Warmth Program. The heaters are a more cost-effective and long-term solution to help Haywood County citizens stay safe from cold temperatures and heating choices that might expose households to an increased risk of fire.
Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our civilization. REALTORS should recognize that the interests of the nation and its citizens require the highest and best use of the land and the widest distribution of land ownership. They require the creation of adequate housing, the building of functioning cities, the development of productive industries and farms, and the preservation of a healthful environment.
In the interpretation of this obligation, REALTORS can take no safer guide than that which has been handed down through the centuries, embodied in the Golden Rule, Whatsoever ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them."
(Preamble - REALTOR Code of Ethics)
Our members take the "Golden Rule" one step further. We believe in the "Platinum Rule". Not only should you treat others as you would like to be treated, but treat others as they would like to be treated!
